Osun APC Guber Ticket: Babayemi Calls For Unity
A major contender for the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi, has called on party members across the state not to sow seeds of discord among aspirants eyeing the party’s ticket in next year’s governorship election.
Babayemi insisted that the call has become imperative because the APC governorship aspirants in the state were united and never antagonizing themselves on account of ambition.
To underscore his seriousness in ensuring that the party stays together ahead of the gubernatorial election slated for 2026, he said he had already undertaken his ward tour to 180 out of the 332 wards, preaching peace and unity, among other things.
The Gbongan-born Prince stated these in continuation of his statewide ward-to-ward tour to twelve wards in Oriade and Ayedire Local Government areas of the state.
“I can assure you all that we, the governorship aspirants of our great party, the APC, are not only staying strong, but we are also relating well. Our resolve is one: to win the coming gubernatorial election in 2026 and ensure the re-election of President Bola Tinubu,” he posited.
Speaking separately at places visited, he maintained that if the aspirants were not fighting one another in their bid to get the governorship ticket of the party for the 2026 election, then members of the party should not have any basis for causing friction in that regard.
Babayemi, whose popularity has continued to soar, expressed the optimism that the party would triumph at the coming polls, hinging his belief on the renewed acceptance of the party by the people of the state.
While praying for his emergence as the gubernatorial candidate of APC in the state, the people in the wards visited assured him of their readiness to work for the victory of the party during the election.
Among the wards visited are Ward-5,Ikeji, Ward-6,Ira, Ward-12,Erinmo,Ward-11,Ijeda Ward-3,Ijebu and Ward-4,Iwoye,all in Oriade council.
Others in Ayedire Local Government areas were Ward 6, Ileogbo 2, Ward 7, Ileogbo 4,Ward 5, Ileogbo 1, Ward 8, Ileogbo 4,Ward 10,Kuta 2 and Ward 9,Kuta 1.
