A respected leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Omooba Dotun Babayemi, has rejoiced with the Muslims across the country on the completion of this year’s Ramadan.
Babayemi advised that the lessons learnt during the just concluded month-long fasting period must not be allowed to be in vain.
The popular APC chieftain made the call while congratulating the Muslim faithful on the completion of this year’s Ramadan leading to the celebration of Eid al Fitr.
The party stalwart who stated these in a Press Release made available to journalists through his Media Office in Osogbo, called for more dedication and unity of purpose among the people regardless of their religious beliefs.
According to him,it would not be proper for the faithful having observed the ordinances of Allah through their obedience, dedication and commitment during the fasting period,to allow the teachings and lessons learnt to slip by.
“While congratulating our Muslim brothers and sisters on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan,we must not allow the lessons learnt to fizzle out due to worldly cravings. The endurance, selflessness and sacrifices enshrined in the period must not be forgotten in a hurry” he pleaded
Babayemi similarly called for ceaseless supplications for Nigeria and its people, urging the populace to continue to believe in the country.
“It’s only a positive attitude and believe in our country and state that can make us to realize our set goals in Nigeria. Prayers alone can not do it; for the aforementioned will serve as catalysts for other contributions in making our nation great” he maintained.
While charging Nigerians not to relent in their efforts at seeing to the development of the country, Babayemi enjoined the people of Osun State to always have the believe that the state would be great.
He canvassed that the APC should be roundly supported to emerge victorious at the coming elections later this year and 2027.
